On Sept. 6, Johnson’s dead body was located in a wooded area in the 700 block of Gilroy Road in Nanjemoy, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation into his death determined that Johnson had been murdered by unknown suspects.

As of Thursday, July 14, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that officers are actively in the Palmer Apartment Complex in the area of October Place in Waldorf, conducting a neighborhood canvas as they search for new leads or information related to the homicide.

In response, the Charles County Crime Solvers and the sheriff’s office have offered a reward of up to $12,500 for information that leads to an arrest and prosecution in the case.
